The Lyme Regis to Axminster railway branch line connected the seaside town of Lyme Regis with the main line railway network at Axminster.

​It opened in 1903 and was known for its difficult terrain.

​ The line was about six and a half miles long and was operated by the London and South Western Railway (LSWR). It served both passenger and freight traffic, with particularly high passenger numbers on summer weekends due to Lyme Regis being a popular coastal holiday destination.
